I had the chance to taste this curious bottle when visiting Olivier Collard of Collard-Picard. His father René Collard has a good stock of older vintages and it was a pleasant surprise to be tasting this blanc des Noirs from my vintage.

Medium-intense peachy colour. Fragrant, bright red fruit nose. Wide and fresh on the palate with surprisingly ample fruit left. Seductively soft mousse but rather one-dimensional aroma-wise. Happy surprise!
