A press release by Veuve Clicquot:
Since the discovery of the ancient champagne bottles on July 16th 2010 off the Åland coast, all bottles have been safely stored and examined in Mariehamn, Åland. On Monday 13th December, the first bottle left the group to return to its origin – the cellars of Veuve Clicquot in Reims, France.
On December 14, 2010 the bottle transported from Åland to France found it’s new home: the cellars of Veuve Clicquot in Reims. A special chamber has been dedicated to the bottle which is now an exhibit item for all visitors visiting the cellars of Veuve Clicquot. The bottle will be on display at least until 31.12.2011, but perhaps even longer.
