I have tasted the 1975 Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial for a few times, but today I had the opportunity to taste its late-disgorged version, the Grand Vintage Collection from a magnum bottle.

Disgorged in 2002, this wine was bright, deep golden. The nose was classic Moët with mocha, white fruit and straw enhanced with peculiar apricot and honey notes of noble rot. Appearance of sweetness continues also on the palate, which feels sweeter than its 7,5 g/l residual sugar would suggest. The real charm lies on the palate though, so thick, round and creamy. One of the most voluptuous 1975s I have tasted. Drinking perfectly now, showing its mature side but remaining very fresh and alive.
