1975 OBSESSION

There is something highly obsessive in tasting wines of your own vintage. Even though I am not a collector at heart, I love to collect tasting memories of the wines of my age. I guess I will start feeling old the day the top 1975 wines start tiring and dying.

1975 was not a top vintage in most classic wine regions, but one where I have found many lovely bottles and experiences. There are top performers and big disappointments. The great bottles are still very energetic, harmonious and charming. Here are the notes of some of my favourite fairly recent 1975 encounters.
